Originally inspired by the works of William Gibson, Wintermute is about bringing the listener into the sound, sights and visions of the music. The music is highly story and concept driven and is made to immerse the listener in mood and feeling. The overall goal is to take the listener to a place they have never been before.

As we enter into "tomorrow", this collection of downtempo and ambient tracks from Wintermute takes us there with tales of hope and caution. Built around a centerpiece trilogy (House of the Stars, House of the Moon, House of the Sun) this release mixes more traditional styles with fresh electronic themes - bass lines and vibes/electronic piano, with just a hint of B3 - a chilled out treat.

(BWR011) Wintermute - Life in the Machine
Once upon a time in the future, there was a land called Machine. This land was covered by many parts and pieces of a very very vast machine.
At the heart of this machine was a mind and heart created by humans long gone destroyed by the machine. In their stead is a new nameless race of human like beings. They are created by the machine to serve it. It is their God.
These beings were created mostly without emotion and have the knowledge of the machine; they are an extension of it. Without compassion, they are barely still human, but they are organic and organic beings tend to evolve. To the machine, the nameless race was no different than any of its other parts, so it named them thus.
JZ-0735 was one of those parts, JZ-0735 was about to evolve ...
