Blue Water Records is very excited to announce the release of mirror, a brand new album by mysterious ambient masters Austere!
(BWR032) Michael Sandler - Leaf ShowersLeaf Showers is a sprawling, morphing world of underground streams, desert creatures, and cold, icy stars. Michael Sandler's sparse sense of composition leads the listener from fecund biosystems to desolate open places where little dwells but lizards and spirits. Leaf Showers will come to you, filling the space around you even as you travel to places far and near. |
(BWR030) Na-Koja-Abad - Black Serpent Dreaming: Rites of PassageBlack Serpent Dreaming: Rites of Passage is a portrayal of an immense cave dwelling, its dark, solemn walls painted with mystical stories long forgotten, still breathing and echoing with forsaken rites of eons long passed, primeval essence still seething through the deep crevices within. With approximately 60 different layers of sound overall, the record is one of the most complex, evocative and vivid pieces in Na-Koja-Abad's catalogue, with plenty of variation throughout, and a vast amount of organic, incidental and percussive sounds. |
(BWR023) Palancar - PrecisWith Precis, Palancar has gone a unique direction, releasing a study of short-play ambience. Designed to reflect single moods or images, Precis is meant to be experienced as a set of brief vignettes, or ambient haiku, each piece a still life image of the mood or concept in the artist\\\\\\\'s head at the time of composition. Each piece is distinctive and stands on its own, varying from impenetrable dark ambience to lush smooth space music. Despite the brevity of each track, the album has more than 70 minutes of music on it, and is recommended for any fan of ambient music. |
(BWR021) Mystahr - ForraeForrae is an album that is dedicated to a very dear friend of the artist that is suffering from deep-grown cancer. The music on this album was created at the time she was first hospitalized for this disease. For Mystahr, personally creating this album meant a way to express his deepest feelings of love and care for his friend. Most of the tracks on this album are performed live, and because of that they hold the essence of the moment. Despite the live nature of much of the material, it took nearly a year and a half to finalize this album - truly a labor of love. Mystahr is proud to see the launch of this precious cargo and hopes it will be received with the same love and care with which it was made. Forrae is a deep and intimate portrait of the relationship between two close friends, a relationship both threatened by the advent of serious illness and strengthened by it. It is a grand achievement in the world of minimal electronic ambience by an artist at the top of his game. All proceeds of this album will be donated to the Dutch Cancer Foundation. |
(BWR017) Mystified - The Hand Of JayantiA complete and engrossing journey into mystical places and states of mind. Travel through primal atmospheres between fog-shrouded mountains and rocky plains. Become at one with the world, experiencing sounds both cosmic and traditional. |
(BWR003) Cluster Balm - 1.0The eagerly awaited first release from Cluster Balm is an extraordinary two-disc collection of exotic ambient music, which runs the gamut between tribal, dark, abstract, and experimental. Produced by three musicians with distinctively different styles, this album is a remarkable fusion of approaches, unlike any other ambient music. Nearly two and half hours of ambient bliss awaits the listener of this superb release. |
(BWR002) Palancar - MomerathGreg Bear is one of Palancar\\\'s favorite authors, and his novel Anvil of Stars apparently left quite an impact on him. This two-disc album is Palancar\\\'s tribute to this spectacular novel, an unofficial \\\'book soundtrack\\\'. More than a year in the making, in Momerath, Palancar explores dark ambience, twisted abtract textures, lush progressive electronica, polyrhythmic composition, and exotic world fusion, producing more than two hours of music. |
